- Gets crowded during the summer months

Amazing views up the top and a great hike. It is a nice hike to do in the morning as you can get some great views. It only took us about 30-45 minutes to get to the top. I will say the path to the top is not always clear. But the view is well worth the effort. Nice seeing area at the top. It also has restrooms. We saw people walking their dogs too so I am assuming it is dog friendly. One word of caution, we were going to drive up but the road is only open in the summer months we were told, so please bear that on mind.

- Clean

- They lock the gate to the tower sometimes

- Charging for parking most of the time

- Bathrooms, benches, and lots of parking

Always a great place to visit. Beautiful and full view of the area atop the mountain.

The Sugarloaf tower is old but still in good shape. The view is unmatched with it's 270 degree view (No north view) and offers multiple levels for good picture taking. The tower is open most of the year round until ice and snow set in.

Pros:

- Great view

During the day and during the warmer months, parking is not free unless you're just driving through. Although I'm not sure how enforced this is. If it's night time, you can park at the bottom and walk up the paved road for some good nighttime views. The climb is not hard and should only take 20 minutes.

It's absolutely beautiful at the Top...You can hike up the mountain or drive up and pay 5 $ to park and hand have a picnic. They have grills and picnic tables. The view is Spectacular.

- Open all year round to walking, most of the time for cars

Cons:

I come here a whole lot during the day and during the night. The place is managed by Umass Amherst. The site is wicked clean and has plenty of ground to sprawl out and enjoy the iconic view of the river. There's benches and picnic tables for sitting. Also ample parking and porta potties.

There is a dirt path which weirdly takes only 5 minutes more than the paved road.

Awesome steep short hike. #lunchhike sweet view of Massachusetts and Vermont. And if you don't like to hike you can always drive up for fee.
